Skull Art

Alex is a wee goat head is originally from Blenheim, when I received him he was still a full goat head over the last couple of months I've been cleaning him and painting him to turn him into a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Alex measures roughly 60cms from the top of his horns to the bottom of his nose and is roughly 68cms wide from tip of one horn to the tip of the other horn. His horns can be removed for shipping purposes or if you like I can make them permanent.

Roper is a large cow skull, his horns are able to be removed due to them being handmade. His horns are made from a liquid plastic that once cured is a hard durable but light weight plastic, the cast of these horns are from a highland cow. Roper is roughly 53cms from the top of is skull to the tip of his nose and roughly 64cms wide from the tip of one horn to the tip of his other horn.

Lunar is a wee fallow stag, he is a one of a kind collaboration piece made by myself and the talented Sam from frayandknot, you will not find another piece of art work like this. Lunar measures 150cms from the top of his antler to the bottom of his macrame.

Backstory: On the 19th of November there was a stunning Lunar eclipse over New Zealand, which I was lucky enough to witness. This was the same day I finished painting this head and coincidentally I had painted the moon in its different phases on the top of his skull, so we decided Lunar was a perfect name for this piece.

Boris is a large 12-point red stag. He is over 65cms from the tip of his nose to the top of his antlers.

Nick is a small fallow stag. He is hand painted and one of a kind. He is a small fallow with small palms and is roughly 65cms high from the tip of his nose to the top of his antler and roughly 55cms wide from the tip of one antler to the other.

Gerald is a large Highland Cow. Measuring roughly 92cms from the tip of one horn to the tip of the other horn and roughly 47cms from the top of his head to the bottom of his nose. When I received Gerald he was a full head and required a lot of cleaning, during the cleaning process I found that the skull was extremely damaged and required a lot of reconstructing, due to his Gerald does not have the back of his skull. I slowly worked away on Gerald for about a year and I think hes looks amazing compared to what I started with!

Angus is a large steer skull. When Angus came to me he was in poor condition the previous owner said he had been outside for at least 16 years, view images for before photos. Angus is roughly 88cms wide, from the tip of one horn to the tip of the other horn and roughly 45cms high from the tip of his nose to the top of his head. This item is hand painted by me.

Tom is a fallow stag originally from Burkes Pass South Canterbury. I have painted his skull and did a sketch of a Fallow Stag. Tom is roughly 70cms from the tip of his nose to the top of his antler.

Kevin is a 8 point red stag head, when he arrived to me he was in very poor condition. He took a lot of cleaning, but I've been able to turn him into a one-of-a-kind piece of Skull Art.

Penny is a small sheep, when she arrived to me it was clear she had been outside for many years and needed a lot of cleaning but with a bit of love and attention I've been able to turn her into a beautiful one-of-a-kind work of art.

Ron 'The Roaring Stag' is a 7 pointer Red Stag despite being an odd 7 points he is still beautifully even in shape; his antlers are a naturally dark brown and they are stunning! When Ron arrived to me the back of his skull was missing so I had to spend a lot of time reconstructing the back of his skull the best I could to make it possible for him to be hung on a wall. Ron is one of a kind. It's difficult to capture in pictures but he is absolutely stunning in person.

This is Storm he is a large cow head with horns. He is originally from a farm just out of Wyndham, Storm is roughly 68cms across from tip of one horn to the tip of the other horn and roughly 58cms from the bottom of his nose to the top of his head. Storms horns were slightly damaged when I received them, but this does not affect him in any way. He is able to be hung on the wall by the rope around his horns.

Lucy is a small cow head, she is originally from a lifestyle block out of Invercargill. She is roughly 48cms from the tip of her nose to the top of her skull. Lucy does not have the back of her skull. She has a matte finish with gloss top coat on her horns.
